I’m a complete coffee snob with my own bean‑to‑cup machine and I’m extremely fussy about the beans I use, so I didn’t expect much from a coffee concentrate in a spray can. But the Nitro Café Espresso really surprised me. The flavour is smooth, rich and genuinely good quality — something you almost never get in this format.
It’s perfect for quick small iced espressos, and it works brilliantly as an addition to my morning protein shake. If you add it to a Bueno‑style chocolate protein drink, the taste is amazing.
For £4 a tin, it’s excellent value and far better than I expected.

The Nitro Cafe
was really curious to see how this nitro coffee would turn out, so I took a small can and a flask of hot water up the mountains with me, and it made a fantastic cup of coffee. Super easy and surprisingly good for being out and about!
I’ve also taken it into the office, and it’s been consistently perfect every time. You simply press the button down at the top for a few seconds, add water, and you'll see it has a lovely creamy head, similar to an espresso.
The flavour is smooth and enjoyable, although I personally preferred the dark blend for a richer taste.

What is The Nitro Cafe?
The Nitro Cafe is an innovative coffee brand that offers sprayable coffee concentrates which is infused with Nitrogen. Each can contains 8 servings and doesn’t require refrigeration, making it easy to enjoy cafe quality coffee anytime, anywhere. Just spray into your drink of choice and enjoy.
Is it freeze dried or Instant coffee?
No, we use a controlled liquid extraction process on real coffee beans to create a highly concentrated coffee extract. This process allows us to reach around 40x strength while keeping the natural flavour compounds intact. The coffee stays in liquid form the whole time and is canned immediately after extraction to lock in freshness.
Instant or freeze dried coffee is brewed first, then dehydrated into powder and later rehydrated. We do not do that at any stage.
What does your coffee concentrate taste like?
it tastes like real coffee, full-bodied and authentic, unlike many coffee concentrates that use extracts. Each of our blends has its own tasting notes, so you can enjoy a unique flavour profile every time.
Can I carry this on my flight hand baggage?
Yes, each can is 50ml, which is well below the 100ml liquid limit for hand luggage on UK and EU flights. It’s sealed, compact and doesn’t require refrigeration, so it’s easy to take with you on the go
Are they sweetened?
Our Cold Brew, Dark Blend, and Espresso are completely unsweetened and contain 0 sugar. The Strawberry flavour has no added sugar and only contains naturally occurring sugars from real fruit.
Is Nitrogen safe?
Yes,We use food-grade nitrogen (N₂), which is safe and widely used in the food and beverage industry. This is different from nitrous oxide (N₂O), which is used for purposes such as whipped cream dispensers and medical anaesthesia.
Why doesn't it need refrigeration?
Nitrogen creates an oxygen-free environment that prevents spoilage, eliminating the need for refrigeration
Are your products vegetarian and allergen-free?
Yes, all our products are 100% vegetarian. Our factory does not handle any major allergens, so our products are free from cross-contamination.
What is your product shelf life?
Our shelf life is now 18 months from manufactured date (previously 12 months). We recommend consuming our product within a month of first use.
